Q: What is inside the KineMAG Nano shell?

A: The KineMAG Nano is a NVMe-based M.2 2280 SSD. The transfer speed is up to 10Gbps. 

Q: What kind of card reader do I need for the KineMAG Nano?

A: The KineMAG Nano doesn’t require any card reader to connect with users’ workstations. It has a built-in USB Type-C port that allows you to connect it with your workstation at a speed of up to 10Gbps. We suggest using the cable that comes with KineMAG Nano to ensure the fasted transfer rate. 

Q: How is the 1TB KineMAG Nano different from the KineMAG Nano body + third party M.2 SSD?

A: The original 1TB KineMAG Nano features a Read-Only function and RAID 5. They improve the integrity and security of your recording media. If you are using KineMAG Nano body + third party M.2 SSD, those functions are not guaranteed. 

Q: Are there other capacities?

A: Currently, Kinefinity only offers a 1TB capacity option. 

Q: Can I use the KineMAG Nano with Kinefinity cameras prior to MAVO Edge 8K?

A: No. The KineMAG Nano has an all-new design and interface that is different from previous Kinefinity cards. Previous generations are not compatible with the MAVO Edge 8K.
